DECISION AND ORDER

MARRERO, District Judge.

Plaintiff Continental Insurance Co. (“Continental”), as subrogee of Tra-deArbed Inc. and TradeArbed Canada, Inc. (collectively, “TradeArbed”), brought this admiralty action to recover damages arising out of a shipment of steel rebar from Yantai, China to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the summer of 2000. In response, defendant Pan Ocean Shipping Co. (“Pan Ocean”), the owner of M/V “Ocean Jade,” moves to stay proceedings in this Court pending arbitration, pursuant to the Federal Arbitration Act (“FAA”), 9 U.S.C. § 3.
