The defendant-appellant, Roger Cooley, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of attempted subornation of perjury and was sentenced to a term of imprisonment of 1 year. We affirm the judgment of the district court.

In his sole assignment of error Cooley claims that the district court abused its discretion by imposing the 1-year sentence. While we are given the statutory authority to modify sentences which are excessive, Neb. Rev. Stat. § 29-2308 (Cum.
