Introduction

The plaintiffs are members of the Congregation Shaarey Israel (hereinafter the Congregation), and the Congregation’s former rabbi, Michael Dick (hereinafter the Rabbi). The defendants include members of the Congregation’s Board of Trustees (hereinafter the Board). The Rabbi had been employed as rabbi of the Congregation by an agreement which was to expire on July 31, 2011.
