Thomas L. Fitzgerald, a Missouri inmate, appeals from the district court’s 1 order denying his 28 U.S.C. § 2254 petition for habeas corpus. We affirm.

A jury convicted Fitzgerald of first-degree robbery, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon. The trial court sentenced Fitzgerald as a prior and persistent offender to two consecutive life terms of imprisonment for the robbery and armed criminal action, and a consecutive five-year term for unlawful use of a weapon.
