The traveled portion of the highway covered by concrete is sixteen feet wide, the center of which is marked with a black line. The respondent was driving a car which was about fifteen feet long over all. As respondent neared the place where he intended to cross over the lane for the eastbound travel, he looked west and saw the east-bound car coming some five hundred feet distant.
