In January, 1984, National Oil and Gas Company of Florida, a Florida corporation authorized to do business in the state of Louisiana, filed suit in the District Court of Ouachita Parish against Roy M. Teel, Sr., a resident of Oklahoma, Brian Mark, Inc., and H.G.T., Inc., Oklahoma corporations,1 seeking to recover interest payments allegedly due under a compromise agreement executed by the parties and others in 1982 in Monroe, Louisiana.
