Carl E. Brickman and his wife, Rosemary Brickman, North Carolina residents, brought this action against Anthony and Margaret Codella, residents of New York, to recover on a note under which Anthony Codella guaranteed payment of the indebtedness of Poseidon Industries, Inc. (Poseidon), a New York corporation of which Mr. Codella is president. The defendants filed a motion to dismiss pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat.
