This cause is before the court on appeal from a judgment of the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas.

Defendant-appellant, Frieda E. Szuch, was involuntarily hospitalized at the Toledo Mental Health Center from September 21,1984 to December 21, 1984, and again from February 8, 1985 to March 14, 1985. Plaintiff-appellee, state of Ohio, Department of Mental Health Reimbursement Services (“DMHRS”), billed appellant for the care and treatment rendered during these hospitalizations.
