OPINION OF THE COURT
LOUIS H. POLLAK, District Judge.
This diversity medical malpractice case arose in the Western District of Pennsylvania. The case comes before us on appeal of a defense verdict and the district court’s subsequent denial of plaintiff’s motion for a new trial. Because we conclude that the district court permitted one of plaintiff’s expert witnesses to be impeached on the basis of inadmissible evidence, we will reverse and remand for a new trial.
