William Grossman Mills was bom March 11th, 1904, the child of William Mills, Jr., and Georgia Grossman Mills, his wife. The mother obtained a divorce on May 29th, 1911, in the Supreme Court of the state of New York, and thereafter, and until the time of her death, lived with her child in the Lee family.
