Onika Williams appeals the trial court’s order granting the City of Jacksonville’s motion to dismiss the complaint and dismissing the negligence action with prejudice based on the passage of time and the limitations period set out in section 768.28(6)(a), Florida Statutes. , Because the allegations in the complaint were sufficient to withstand the motion to dismiss as to the City, and because the affirmative defense and additional facts argued by the parties are not cognizable upon a motion to dismiss, we reverse in part'and remand for further proceedings as to the City.
