I. Introduction

These are consolidated proceedings involving the trial court’s denial of a motion to transfer venue. J. Michael Fincher, P.C., J. Michael Fincher, individually, Ben jamin Johnson, John M. Martineck, Michael Havard, and Provost Umphrey Law Firm, L.L.P. (the “Fincher Defendants”) first filed an original proceeding in this court as relators, then filed an interlocutory appeal as appellants.
