This is a suit by plaintiff against the defendant under the Workmen's Compensation Law of this State, Act No. 20 of 1914, as amended, for permanent total disability as a result of injuries received by plaintiff on January 2, 1946, while in the course and scope of his employment. The defendant paid plaintiff compensation at the maximum rate of $20 per week from the date of the injury, January 2, 1946, through July 22, 1946, when he was discharged by the attending physician and returned to the employment of the defendant.
