OPINION

Playtex brought this action against Columbia and other of its insurers to recover amounts paid in settlement of certain toxic shock syndrome (“TSS”) claims. This deci sion will determine the attachment points for coverage under the Esmark insurance program for 1984-85, under which Playtex was an insured subsidiary. 1 Esmark contends that the lead umbrella coverage attaches after a self-insured retention of $1 million dollars per occurrence with a $7 million dollar aggregate which is articulated by a primary insurance policy issued by Northwestern.
