This case came before the Supreme Court, pursuant to the petition of Robert K. Pirraglia (Judge Pirraglia or petition er), an associate judge of the Rhode Island District Court, requesting the Court to reject the report and recommendation of the Commission on Judicial Tenure and Discipline (commission) that found him to be in violation of several Canons of the Code of Judicial Conduct, Article VI of the Supreme Court Rules.
