Appellant Moses G. Mangrum challenges his jury convictions for assault with intent to kill while armed1 and carrying a pistol without a license.2 His arguments on appeal are: (1) that his trial counsel deprived him of his Sixth Amendment right to the effective assistance of counsel by failing to investigate or present an insanity defense or to request exculpatory prosecution material under Brady v.
