Mrs. Gloria J. Smith, who was laid off from her job at Desoto, Inc., of Jackson while on leave of absence due to pregnancy, made application for unemployment benefits from the Mississippi Employment Security Commission. She was denied benefits on the grounds that she had left work because of pregnancy.…
