Donna McClearn married Robert Call, Jr. in 1996 and lived with him in a house in Lodi, Wisconsin, until 2001, when he moved out, with no intention of returning. The two were divorced in April 2003. Before then, they executed a written settlement agreement under which Call gave McClearn the Lodi residence and she agreed to make all the payments on it and hold him harmless.
