— Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Cohen, J.), rendered February 23, 1984, convicting him of assault in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence. The appeal brings up for review the denial, following a hearing, of that branch of the defendant’s omnibus motion which sought to suppress statements made to law enforcement officials.

Judgment affirmed.

We find no basis in the record to disturb the hearing court’s finding that the defendant made a valid waiver of his Miranda rights…
