The offense is rape; the punishment, 28 years.

The prosecutrix, a 51-year old widowed laboratory employee who lived alone, testified that she was at home by herself on the night in question when someone knocked on her front door, that she unlatched the screen to identify her caller, and the appellant forced his way inside and demanded money of her with an open knife in his hand.
