The defendant, Maybelle Campbell, was indicted and tried for the offense of murder. The'court instructed the jury with reference to a finding and verdict of murder, voluntary manslaughter, and justifiable homicide, and not guilty because of accident. The jury returned a verdict as follows: “We the jury find the defendant guilty of involuntary manslaughter and fix her punishment at not more than seven or less than five years.”’ (Italics ours.)
