In this appeal, we reject appellants’ challenge to the superior court’s exercise of jurisdiction over an action transferred from magistrate court. The relevant facts follow.

The underlying action began as a dispossessory action filed by Ahmed El Sharkawy against Calvin Erby in the Magistrate Court of Douglas County. Erby owned a check cashing business located inside a gas station/convenience store, and he leased the space for his business from Super Stop 2, Inc., on September 1, 2001.
