Rolfes v. State Ex Rel. Burt

This controversy began on June 28, 1967, when the Casper City Manager and the Fire Chief directed a letter, which on that day had been acknowledged and filed by the Civil Service Commission, to Robert W. Burt (a fire-service employee), entitled, “Re: Specifications, Notice and Order of Discharge,” and stating, inter alia:

“You are discharged for the good of the efficiency of the service and for improper use of sick leave privileges on June 17, 1967, contrary to the provisions of Ordinance 1327-A.”
