This appeal is from a judgment in favor of the appellee against the appellant for damagesi to a shipment of cattle. In his petition the appellee asked for dam ages in the sum of $860, together with interest at the rate of 6 per cent, per annum from the 1st day of January, 1914. The recitals in the following judgment furnish all the facts necessary to be considered in passing upon the questions presented on this appeal:
