This case arises from waste allegedly deposited by the defendant Olin Corporation (“Olin”) in public landfills maintained by the Town of Hamden. The plaintiffs, because of the discovery of contamination in the New-hall neighborhood of Hamden, seek damages against Olin for the diminution in value of their properties, the loss of use and enjoyment of their properties, and emotional distress, as well as coverage by Olin of any response costs incurred to address contamination on the affected…
