Defendant, Beatrice Sumner, was charged by indictment in the Circuit Court of McLean County with the offense of obstructing justice on May 29, 1973, at Stanford in that county in that “she did willfully, unlawfully and knowingly with intent to prevent the prosecution of a person, to wit: Jesse Donald Stunner, she knowingly destroyed physical evidence, to wit: the driver’s license of Dawn Marie Huwe and a Red Lion membership card of Dawn Marie Huwe.” Pursuant to a discovery request for a bill of particulars the State set forth the exact time of the offense as being between 7:30 and noon of the…
