Plaintiff Kathy Jo Simmons (“Simmons”) brings this action pursuant to Section 205(g) of the Social Security Act (“Act”), as amended; 42 U.S.C. § 405(g), seeking review of a final decision of the Commissioner of Social Security (“Commissioner”) denying her application for disability insurance benefits. The parties have filed cross-motions for judgment on the pleadings pursuant to Rule 12(c) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
