¶ 1 Appellants Center for Biological Diversity, Inc., Martin Taylor, Shane Jimerfield, and A.J. Schneller (CBD) appeal from a jury verdict finding them liable for defaming ap-pellees James K. Chilton, Jr., and Chilton Ranch and Cattle Company (Chilton) and interfering with Chilton’s business expectations, and awarding Chilton $100,000 in compensatory damages and $500,000 in punitive damages.
