| prank’s Casing Crew and Rental Tools, Inc. (Frank’s) filed suit against its former employee, David L. Sipos, and his company, Vermilion River Tool & Equipment Co., Inc. (VERTECO), alleging breach of a confidentiality agreement and violations of the Louisiana Unfair Trade Practices Act, La.R.S. 51:1401 et seq., and the Uniform Trade Secrets Act, La. R.S. 51:1431 et seq. After a jury trial, judgment on the merits was rendered in favor of the defendants, and the plaintiffs claims were found to be in bad faith, warranting an award of attorney fees.
