Phillip Walker was convicted of first degree theft of property; Ala. Code 1975, § 13A-8-3. The Court of Criminal Appeals affirmed his conviction, 595 So.2d 926, and Walker petitioned this Court for a writ of certiorari. Walker argues several issues relating to the "best evidence" rule and a party's right to examine voluminous business records summarized in an adverse witness's testimony.
