The case involves the right of the receiver of the American Bank & Trust Company to recapture a vast amount of dioses in action, delivered by J. Pope Matthews, a high official of the bank, to the City of Columbia, the County of Richland, J. L. Mimnaugh, administrator of the estate of James Mimnaugh, deceased, as collateral security for certain deposits to their credit, severally, in the bank, on June 24, 1926, the day before the last day upon which the bank was open for business.
