This is an original proceeding in habeas corpus in which the petitioner, Edmund Rockwood, seeks to be discharged from the custody of Joe Bauml, sheriff of Sedgwick county.

In response to a rule to show cause, the sheriff submits a journal entry of judgment and commitment which recites the pertinent facts of a criminal prosecution in the juvenile court of Sedgwick county wherein the state of Kansas was plaintiff and this petitioner, Edmund Rockwood, was defendant.
