This is an appeal from a judgment for the plaintiffs pursuant to a verdict of the jury in an automobile accident ease. We certified the matter while it was pending in the Appellate Division.

On January 28, 1954 the plaintiff Theresa Meszaros was a passenger in an automobile being driven in a southerly direction along Route 1 in Middlesex County.
