This action was begun by the appellants as trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church South at Smackover, Union County, Arkansas, against the appellees to recover the possession of the east half of lot 1, block 47, of said town. Appellants alleged that, on the 21st of October, 1899, the lot mentioned was conveyed by warranty deed from E. L. Murph and wife to J. W. Young and P. V.
