This is an action for damages for personal injuries sustained by plaintiff Frank Shelton, on the night of December 2, 1932, when he was struck by an automobile, driven by D.R. Reid. The casualty occurred near the southeast corner of the intersection of Twelfth Street and Mitchell Avenue in St. Joseph, Missouri, as Shelton, a pedestrian, was attempting to cross from the south to the north side of Mitchell Avenue.
