|'iDefendant, Nancy Pavón (“Ms. Pa-vón”), appeals the trial court ruling that granted plaintiff Phillip Shelton’s (“Dr. Shelton”) special motion to strike Ms. Pa-von’s reconventional demand and that awarded attorney fees and costs to Dr. Shelton as the prevailing party on the motion to strike. We find Dr. Shelton’s petition does not involve a public issue, but rather, a private matter between private parties. Thus, La. C.C.P. art. 971 does not apply.
