At the annual fair of the Agricultural Society, in 1870, there occurred a violent storm which rendered egress therefrom difficult, and much inconvenience was experienced. Shortly thereafter, and on November 19th, 1870, there was held a meeting of the stockholders of the society, for the purpose of passing on certain proposed amendments to the articles of incorporation; all of the intervenors being present except Mr. Davenport.
