Defendant, Therman Walker, appeals his conviction by a jury on three counts of armed robbery (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 38, par. 18— 2(a)), and his three concurrent life sentences as an habitual criminal (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 38, par. 33B — 1). On appeal he questions whether (1) the circuit court erred in denying his motion to suppress evidence due to an improper inventory search; (2) the State violated Batson v.
