OPINION

{¶ 1} Defendant-appellant, Joshua Smith, appeals his conviction in the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas for murder.

{¶ 2} In the early morning hours of January 1, 2006, the Washington Court House Police Department received a call from appellant who reported that he witnessed the murder of Michelle Morrison. After investigating appellant's report further, the police discovered the lifeless body of Morrison located in the bedroom of a now vacant home, a home in which appellant had lived two months earlier before it sustained fire damage.
