This suit by Pollie Hawkins, as plaintiff, against the defendant, North Carolina Mutual Fife Insurance Company, was commenced September 29, 1932, in the Court of Magistrate J. F. Fancaster, at Spartanburg, S. C, for the recovery of the sum of $75.00, alleged balance due the plaintiff as beneficiary under a certain policy of insurance issued by the defendant, February 9, 1931, upon the life of the plaintiff’s father, Dan Smith, who died February 4, 1932.
