There have been many controversies between Jackson and those claiming some title or interest adverse to him in the premises in Brooklyn, part of which are involved in this appeal. Particular phases of these controversies have been within a few years before this court and decided by us. Jackson v. Andrews, 98 N. Y., 672 ; Jackson v. Suydam, 109 id., 661; 16 N. Y.
