Although the decision has been rendered orally at the end of the trial herein, it is felt that a written decision is also desirable. This is so because the fact situation is quite typical of the times and, in all likelihood will recur. Furthermore, it has frequently been recommended that Judges state the basis and the rationale for their decisions so that the police, the law profession and other interested parties may be informed and/or guided.
