COX, Judge:

Appellant stands convicted of one specification of sodomy and one of false swearing, in violation of Articles 125(a) and 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC §§ 925(a) and 934, respectively.1 We *175granted review2 of this issue:
