This case involves the application for a Maryland charter (Maryland Code (1966 Repl. Vol.), Art. 23, § 161M) by Equitable Savings and Loan Association, an unincorporated voluntary association (Old Equitable) with its main office and a branch in the District of Columbia, and a branch office already in existence in Wheaton, Montgomery County, Maryland.
