DUNN, Justice.

This is an appeal from a conviction of kidnapping in the Third Judicial Circuit. Defendant was found guilty by a jury on May 15, 1977, and was sentenced to a term of life in the state penitentiary. We affirm.

On October 6, 1976, Mrs. Mary Tschirley, a 78-year-old Roscoe, South Dakota woman, visited her daughter in Aberdeen, and that evening she had a telephone conversation with Ralph Pressler who rented her farmland and was in touch with her by telephone almost daily.
