Appellant brought this action in replevin for the possession or value of various articles of furniture. The material facts are not in dispute. March 18, 1948, appellant filed a chattel mortgage encumbering the furniture, which was in the possession of Prank and Lillian Zengulis, mortgagors. Lillian Zengulis had purchased certain other merchandise from appellee under a bailment lease. Appellee entered the judgment note accompanying the bailment lease, and under a writ of fi. fa-issued at the suit of appellee the Sheriff of Luzerne County on May 26, 1948, sold to appellee…
