This matter came on for hearing on February 25, 1985, and March 1, 1985, on the motion of Lagniappe Inn of Nashville, Ltd. (“Lagniappe”) to impose contempt sanctions upon Washington National Life Insurance Company (“Washington National”). The primary issue before the Court was whether a foreclosure sale conducted by Washington National of certain real property owned by Lagniappe should be set aside as a violation of the automatic stay provided by 11 U.S.C. § 362.
