OPINION

CORNELIUS, Chief Justice.

The Galveston County Fair & Rodeo, Inc. appeals from a judgment awarding Eric Glover and his parents, Tom Glover, Jr. and Sandra Glover, damages for libel, breach of contract, and tortious interference with contractual relations.

Eric Glover, age twelve, entered a steer in the 1992 Galveston County Fair. Eric was assisted by his father and mother and his grandfather, Tom Glover, Sr. After being judged through three rounds of competition, the steer was declared by the steer judge, Charles Phillip, as best heavyweight exotic, champion exotic, and then grand…
