On the 23d January, 1841, the Bank of Lewistown discounted a note for $4600, made by John Norris, and endorsed by William B, Norris, John Norris, Jr., and Hardman Philips. The note was protested for non-payment at maturity, and judgments were recovered against the executors of the maker, and against William B. Norris and John Norris, Jr. (two of the endorsers), for large sums of money, including the amount of the note above described.
