Plaintiff Robert Schartner, a citizen of Wisconsin, is in the business of growing and selling fruit in Door County, Wisconsin. In 1987, he contracted to purchase equipment costing $46,490.00 for processing apples from the defendant Northwest International Equipment Company, Inc., a company which is incorporated in the State of Washington with its principal place of business in Yakima, Washington.
